The Denver Broncos have the 28th overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. They are in a spot where they have to play to win it all next season because of Peyton Manning, but they also have to keep an eye on the future. Here are five players that the Broncos should target in the first round to help get them over the hump.

Arik Armstead is one of the most physically gifted players in the entire draft class. He is a 6-foot-7, 290 pound defensive lineman that can do a little bit of everything. It seems like a player like that should be projected to go higher, but he has yet to put it all together on the field. Armstead will need a lot of coaching, but the potential is there to be a perennial pro-bowler.

4. Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State

The Broncos may look to replace Terrance Knighton in the first round, and Eddie Goldman wouldn't be a bad choice. He has the skills to be a disruptive nose tackle in a 3-4 defense which is what they will be missing with Knighton's departure. Goldman would be more likely to make an immediate impact compared to Armstead, who will need some time.

3. T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh

Denver could use some help at right tackle, and they will have a few options late in the first round. T.J. Clemmings started every game at right tackle last season for Pittsburgh. He was voted second team All-American while still learning the position. Clemmings is a former basketball player and initially played defensive end in college. He has the potential to be a very good right tackle in the NFL.

Cameron Erving also started his career on the defensive side of the ball before moving to the offensive line. He is versatile enough to play center or guard in the NFL, which would help with the Broncos depth problem. A lot of scouts think he will be able to be a starter on the first day in the right situation.

1. Maxx Williams, TE, Minnesota

Peyton Manning will miss being able to throw it up to Julius Thomas in the red zone next year. The Broncos may look to alleviate that problem by drafting Maxx Williams in the first round. He is the best tight end prospect in the draft. Williams isn't the same athlete that Thomas was (few are), but he has the physical tools to be a valuable part of any offense.
