The Carolina Panthers may have made the playoffs last year, but only because they were in perhaps the weakest division in the history of the NFL. As is the case with just about every team’s fanbase that didn’t win the Super Bowl, there are some unhappy fans in Carolina.
One young Panthers fan is particularly displeased with the team’s 7-9 finish last year, and let it be known that most of the blame should be placed on the team’s dynamic quarterback, Cam Newton. The fan’s hot take appeared in an elementary school newspaper, and while it does heavily criticize Newton, at least it offers up a solution to fix the team’s problems.

This young sports reporter clearly knows their football, but also struggles deciding if Newton really is who should be blamed. They come out firing at Newton, but quickly back off by the end of the article. The mediocrity of the Panthers over the last decade seems to have caught up to even the team’s young fans.
