With Nick Foles in town, the St. Louis Rams have pulled off the heist of the century at the quarterback position. Okay, so maybe they already did that with the Robert Griffin III trade a few years back, but shipping off the damaged goods known as Sam Bradford and his bloated cap number for a quality QB and draft picks is just ridiculous. Here’s what their seven-round mock looks like for the 2015 NFL Draft.

Round 1, No. 10 Overall -- Brandon Scherff, OT/OG, Iowa

This pick makes way too much sense if Brandon Scherff is still available when the Rams are on the clock. Some believe he is best suited to slide inside to guard at the next level, but that wouldn’t be a problem for a team lacking depth in the trenches. His added versatility only makes Scherff more attractive with Jake Long no longer in town. Regardless of where he ultimately settles in, this would be an immediate plug-and-play situation.

Round 2, No. 41 Overall -- T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh

After breaking the mold of no offensive linemen in Round 1, Jeff Fisher takes it one step further with another lineman in Round 2. At this point, T.J. Clemmings would just be too attractive to pass up. He’s the perfect fit on the right side in the mold of Rodger Saffold who is now thriving inside at guard for St. Louis. Clemmings would give the Rams bookends with last year’s first-rounder Greg Robinson and turn the O-line into a strength.

Round 3, No. 72 Overall -- Devin Funchess, TE/WR, Michigan

This pick would be all about value at this point, with the stock of Devin Funchess somewhat in flux currently. As a tweener wideout/tight end, Funchess reminds me a lot of Vincent Jackson coming into the league. He could take that path to wide receiver or add a little weight and become a Jimmy Graham at tight end. The Rams could use a weapon at either position, so with his 6-foot-4, 232-pound frame, Funchess is worth the gamble in Round 3.

Round 4, No. 119 Overall (from Philly) -- Eric Rowe, CB, Utah

One of the picks the Rams stole from Philly in the Sam Bradford deal, the versatile Eric Rowe would add some much-needed depth to the Rams’ secondary. His 6-foot-1, 205-pound frame saw him play both safety and corner at Utah, so he would be a huge asset in nickel or dime defenses that are becoming the norm in today’s NFL. Speed questions could allow the Rams to get an absolute steal with this kid in the fourth round.

Round 6 No. 215 Overall (compensatory) -- Derrick Malone Jr., LB, Oregon

The Akeem Ayers addition in free agency made outside linebacker a lesser need for the Rams, but the upside potential of Derrick Malone Jr. this late in the draft is difficult to ignore. He may be small (6-foot-2, 220 pounds), but there’s reason to believe Malone could excel as a coverage specialist in the Rams’ 4-3 scheme. As long as he isn’t asked to take on and shed direct blocks, Malone could become a solid contributor in St. Louis.

Round 7, No. 227 Overall -- Jon Feliciano, OG, Miami

With a resume highlighted by versatility and experience, this 6-foot-4, 323-pound guard is an ideal fit with a run-first team like the Rams. Jon Feliciano’s strengths of getting a good push in the run game and anchoring down in pass protection also expose his weakness in a lack of lateral agility or the ability to get to the second level. Fortunately, the power schemes of the Rams will only help this young man blossom at the next level.
