A forgettable 2014 season has the Washington Redskins eagerly searching for answers this offseason. This team can improve by leaps and bounds with the right selections in the 2015 NFL Draft. Here are the latest rumors surrounding the Redskins as the big day inches closer.

5. Connor Halliday

This rumor started when Halliday announced on Washington State’s radio station that he had a visit set up with the Redskins. Accustomed to playing in a spread offense, Halliday isn’t expected to be drafted until Day 3. The Redskins have shown the most interest in Halliday out of the 32 teams, so don’t be surprised if they take him to bolster depth at quarterback.

4. Marcus Mariota

Mariota was supposed to visit the Redskins this week, but the visit was canceled, indicating that the likelihood of the quarterback landing in the nation’s capital is slim to none. If Mariota is still available at No. 5, it’s more likely that the Redskins use him as trade bait.

3. Owamagbe Odighizuwa

Odighizuwa didn’t wow anyone with his run defense or his pass rushing ability in college. However, many draft pundits point to him as a player who will perform better in the pros than he did in college. One thing that has probably drawn the Redskins’ eye is Odighizuwa’s physique — the UCLA product has essentially no fat on a 267-pound frame.

2. Vic Beasley

With Brian Orakpo out of town, the Redskins will most likely use the No. 5 overall pick to address the hole at pass rusher opposite Ryan Kerrigan. Beasley’s name has been linked with the Redskins for some time, and it’s easy to see why. He is arguably the most talented defensive prospect in the draft, and no one would knock the Redskins for taking him in the first round.

1. Randy Gregory

Not as easy of a selection as Beasley after he tested positive for marijuana at the Combine, Gregory is a guy Redskins fans should keep their eye on. Few prospects have seen their stock rise as much as Gregory’s recently, even with the whole pot thing. Put your mortgage on Beasley or Gregory being taken by the Redskins at No. 5.

Eddie Lacy Could Barely Handle 30-Yard Run

Eddie Lacy is a short yardage specialist, and when he breaks these long runs he definitely will come out of the game every time. This huge run setup the Packers' go-ahead touchdown and they would never look back. Lacy would get his later in the game.
