The 2015 NFL Draft is almost here.

You know what that means?

Everyone gets to boo Roger Goodell, and the Pittsburgh Steelers have eight draft picks to make. Here’s a rundown of the most enticing scenarios for every pick.

Round 1, No. 22 overall – Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest

Pittsburgh desperately needs help in the defensive backfield. Johnson should be a very good cover corner who can press larger WRs at the line of scrimmage while still having the speed and athleticism to recover when beat. Johnson could help stabilize and bring some much-needed youth to Pittsburgh’s secondary.

Round 2, No. 56 overall – Eli Harold, OLB, Virginia

More defense.

Jarvis Jones hasn’t played up to his expectations, yet, and Jason Worilds retired in the offseason. James Harrison can only find the fountain of youth so many times before it dries up.

Eli Harold can rush the passer. Period. He has strong hands, which allows him to get off of blockers. Harold is the perfect fit for a Pittsburgh team that needs to produce more pressure on the QB this year.

Round 3, No. 87 overall – Rob Havenstein, OT, Wisconsin

Rob Havenstein is an aggressive run blocker. He started three years at the University of Wisconsin. He won’t blow anyone away by how he looks or how he measures. Rest assured, he is going to make a solid RT in the NFL. As Pittsburgh has learned over the past two seasons, you can never have enough quality OLs.

Round 4, No. 121 overall – Trey Flowers, DE/OLB, Arkansas

Trey Flowers isn’t a freak athlete, but he does have a motor that doesn’t stop. He will need to bulk up some to be able to handle the strength of NFL linemen. Flowers has pretty good hands that allow him to get away from blockers. Pittsburgh's 3-4 could be the right system for Flowers, who would like to focus on going after the QB.

Round 5, No. 160 overall – Jeff Heuerman, TE, Ohio State

Jeff Heuerman can be a vertical threat and is quite athletic. With Ben Roethlisberger opening up the field more through the passing game, the offense could use another athletic target to control the middle of the field.

Round 6, No. 199 overall – David Cobb, RB, Minnesota

David Cobb could find a perfect fit behind Le’Veon Bell in the Pittsburgh backfield. Cobb is a physical runner who will transition well to the NFL style. He should be an effective short yardage back in the NFL.

Round 6, No. 212 overall – Cody Riggs, CB, Notre Dame

Cody Riggs is only 5-foot-9 and that is why he will fall to the sixth round. He’s extremely intelligent and tough. He is the perfect option for a nickel cornerback. He can cover the slot and is not afraid to come up to the line and make tackles on running backs.

Round 7, No. 239 overall – Zach Vigil, ILB, BYU

Zach Vigil is a leader. He was a very productive player at BYU, but his lack of speed and strength may hinder him in the NFL. Vigil is the type of guy who will probably make a roster as a special teams player because he just doesn’t understand how to quit. Pittsburgh could use some of his mental toughness.
