The Minnesota Vikings are well-positioned to add impact players in the 2015 NFL Draft, with multiple need areas even though they are a team on the rise.

Here's my late-April seven-round mock draft for the Vikings, with the picks they currently possess.

First Round, #11 Overall-Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State

The Vikings can go multiple directions with their first-round pick and not go wrong based on whoever is available. But I think they'll take Waynes, and form arguably the best young cornerback duo in the league with he and Xavier Rhodes.

Second Round, #45 Overall-Shaq Thompson, LB, Washington

I don't think as highly of Thompson as some analysts do, but he can be a versatile piece in Mike Zimmer's defense right out of the gate.

Third Round, #76 Overall-T.J. Yeldon, RB, Alabama

This pick is based on Adrian Peterson being traded, which I still expect. I'm a Jerick McKinnon fan, but Yeldon can push Matt Asiata for primary goal line duty immediately and perhaps be more at some point down the road.

Fourth Round, #110 Overall-Anthony Harris, S, Virginia

Harris is undersized (183 lbs), but he is considered to be solid against the run with cornerback-like ball skills. If he can put aside durability concerns as he recovers from offseason shoulder surgery, Harris has the skill set to fit nicely alongside Harrison Smith.

Fifth Round, #137 Overall-Jeremiah Poutasi, OT/OG, Utah

Poutasi played tackle in college, including left tackle his last two seasons, but he is expected to move to guard at the next level. The Vikings need depth along the offensive line, and Poutasi could step in at left guard right away or be Phil Loadholt's eventual successor at right tackle.

Seventh Round, #228 Overall-Vince Mayle, WR, Washington State

Mayle was very productive last season, with 106 receptions for 1,483 yards and nine touchdowns, and his size (6'2", 224 lbs.) should intrigue NFL teams. Mayle may have to fall a bit for the Vikings to take him here, but I think they'll gladly do so.

Seventh Round, #232 Overall-Damien Wilson, LB, Minnesota

The Vikings need to add some competition to the mix at linebacker, even if they use an early pick on the position. It just so happens a nearby college player like Wilson would be a fit with their final pick.
