Grading The Texans’ 2013 Draft Class

In the days leading up to the 2015 NFL Draft, I will grade each draft pick that the Houston Texans have made from 2002 until 2014. Here now are the grades for the 2013 draft class.

1st Round (No. 27 Overall): DeAndre Hopkins, WR, Clemson

After getting benched as a rookie in 2013, Hopkins broke out in 2014 under Bill O'Brien. Hopkins led the Texans in 2014 with 76 receptions for 1,210 yards and six touchdowns.

Grade: B-

In two seasons, Swearinger has been awful in coverge and is slowly creeping towards bust status. He has only three interceptions and four forced fumbles in two seasons.

In limited action, Ryan Griffin has been a decent receiving tight end. In 31 games, Griffin has 29 receptions for 335 yards and two touchdowns.
