The fourth round can produce some hidden gems in the NFL Draft. Here are the five best players selected in Round 4 by the Pittsburgh Steelers since 1995.

Despite Cortez Allen’s abysmal 2014 season, he still has a pretty high upside. Allen played very well in the previous two seasons. Ike Taylor was benched in 2006 before finding his way back as one of the best shutdown corners in the NFL. Hopefully Allen can show similar toughness.

4. Martavis Bryant (No. 118 overall, 2014)

Here’s all you need to know about the second-year pro: 10 games played, 26 receptions and eight touchdowns. Those were his rookie season stats. Bryant received the Joe Greene Great Performance Award from Pittsburgh, which recognizes the rookie with the best performance. His future looks incredibly bright.

3. Larry Foote (No. 128 overall, 2002)

Larry Foote was a solid contributor for many of the great Pittsburgh defenses in the 2000s. He had a career-year in 2005 where he had 102 tackles and three sacks on the season. Foote finished his career with 409 tackles and 21 sacks while providing good versatility at linebacker for Pittsburgh.

2. Ike Taylor (No. 125 overall, 2003)

At one time, Ike Taylor was the highest paid CB in Pittsburgh history. What makes him extremely impressive is that he never played with another great CB. Sure, Troy Polamalu was roaming around the field, but Taylor lined up against the best WR on the other team week in and week out for five straight seasons. He was one of the better corners of his generation.

1. Aaron Smith (No. 109 overall, 1999)

Aaron Smith and Casey Hampton solidified Pittsburgh’s dominance on the defensive side of the ball. Smith started from 2000 until 2010, and Pittsburgh ranked top three in the NFL against the run nine times. Smith was named to Sports Illustrated's All-Decade Team for the 2000s, and he made the Pro Bowl in 2004. That year he recorded 31 tackles, eight sacks and had three forced fumbles.
