When the 2015 NFL Draft begins Thursday, nobody knows exactly what will happen, especially with the Philadelphia Eagles. After making one bold move after bold move this offseason, nothing is out of the question for how the Eagles may approach this draft. Whether it is trading up for a franchise player or staying put in order to not mortgage the future, here are five bold predictions for what the Eagles may do in the upcoming draft.

Having already made a series of bold moves this offseason, many are expecting Chip Kelly and the Eagles to continue taking this approach in the draft. Earlier this offseason, however, Kelly addressed the media and said that “we will never mortgage our future.” With this in mind, don’t be surprised if come draft night the Eagles are not one of the teams moving up the draft board and instead hold onto their first-round pick at No. 20 overall.

Unlike the NBA, the NFL is not typically known for trades involving players -- but don’t tell that to Chip Kelly. After having already traded away LeSean McCoy and Nick Foles this offseason, Kelly could continue to move players during the draft. Some of the top candidates to be moved in exchange for draft picks include Brandon Boykin, Evan Mathis and Mychal Kendricks.

Over the course of the past two offseasons the Eagles have lost their two top wide receivers in DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin. With a receiving corps that features the likes of Riley Cooper, Josh Huff, Jordan Matthews and Miles Austin, It would appear that this is a position of need for the Eagles. However, with full belief in his system, Chip Kelly could shock Eagles fans everywhere by using his draft picks on players at other positions.

As seen by a variety of his personnel moves, players who either have off the field trouble or don’t buy into his system typically don’t fit in with the “culture” that Chip Kelly is trying so hard to establish in Philadelphia. When the 2015 NFL Draft arrives, Kelly could soften his stance as there are many players who would fit his system but have off the field issues, such as cornerback Marcus Peters and wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham.

Since the NFL season ended, everyone has loved to talk about the possibility of Chip Kelly and the Eagles trading up for Marcus Mariota. Despite these conversations, many believe that the Eagles either have too far to climb in the draft or that they won’t be willing to mortgage their future for one player. No matter how many times this move has been shot down by the experts, come Thursday night get ready to see Kelly and Mariota reunited.
