2015 NFL Draft: 5 Most Likely Selections For Chicago Bears At No. 7

There has been rampant speculation as to who the Chicago Bears are going to take with the No. 7 overall pick in the draft. Logically, both QBs, Winston and Mariota, are going to be off the board. Dante Fowler and Leonard Williams will both also be selected, and it’s also a safe bet that Amari Cooper is also unavailable. Other than that, it’s anyone’s guess. Who will the Bears take? These are the five most likely options.

5. Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State

Waynes is clearly the top CB in this draft and could give the Bears a tremendous pair of young corners with Kyle Fuller for years to come. While a pair of shutdown corners is tempting, there are far too many holes on the roster to spend the No. 7 overall pick in the draft on a defensive back.

4. Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford

Peat is a tremendous pass protector and has the potential to protect the blindside of Bears QBs for the next decade. He isn’t a dominant run blocker, but as the NFL continues to evolve into a passing league, that becomes less and less important. Left tackle is critical in the NFL, but as good as Peat could be, picking him at No. 7 might be a stretch.

3. Danny Shelton, NT, Washington

With the first official roster out, the Bears list Jeremiah Ratliff as the only NT on the team. They will, without question, draft one this week. But is it worth spending a top 10 pick on a player whose job is to take up space, even if he does it with the skill of Shelton? It's a tough call, but the Bears would be better to pick a NT up in Round 2 or 3.

2. Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson

Every great defense starts with a great pass rush. Pernell McPhee is a start but Ryan Pace isn’t done, and this is the most likely option to be on the board for Chicago. A dynamic pass rush helps the secondary, creates turnovers and has a massive impact on games. Beasley could be an All-Pro pass rushing talent, and the Bears would be wise to make this selection.

1. Kevin White, WR, West Virginia

Most scouts think White has more upside than Amari Cooper but feel Cooper is the safer of the two picks. Ryan Pace says he plans to take the best player available with this pick, and by definition that player will most likely be Kevin White. White has the potential to be a tremendous WR and will be able to stretch defenses, something the Bears desperately need. When the commissioner reveals the Bears' selection, it will most likely be White.
