Bruce Irvin may be going from feast to famine if there’s any validity to the news coming from a league source close to Pro Football Talk. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Irvin leaving the Seattle Seahawks for drier pastures could be more than conjecture:

The Atlanta Falcons need a lot of help and protecting Matt Ryan should be of paramount concern. But if you look deeper, the Falcons only managed a meager 31 sacks on opposing quarterbacks in 2014, registering for 19th in the NFL. With the advent of teams throwing the ball more often, it behooves defensive units to limit opportunities opposing QB’s have to inflict damage. This line of reasoning leads to adding a vicious end-rusher such as Irvin.

If this rumor becomes a reality, the Falcons better hop on board soon. No use in winning Irvin by not losing a bidding war.
