Ranking the Tennessee Titans’ 2015 Draft Picks From Worst to First

The Tennessee Titans made some of the best and worst decisions of the 2015 NFL Draft. They addressed key needs at the quarterback, wide receiver and linebacker positions, but failed to address some of the key concerns such as cornerback and high-level offensive linemen. Here is a list ranking the Titans’ 2015 draft picks from worst to first.

9. Jalston Fowler, FB, Alabama

Fowler is a great addition to the Titans, but they practically wasted a pick by taking him in the fourth round.

8. Jeremiah Poutasi, OG, Utah

This was one of the strangest picks of the entire draft. Poutasi was rated nowhere near high enough to go early in the draft. The Titans missed out on several better players at other positions they needed.

7. Andy Gallik, G, Boston College

I like the addition of Gallik, but the Titans need him to be more versatile if he is to see extended playing time this season.

6. Angelo Blackson, DT, Auburn

You might not have heard of Blackson, because he was a rotation player at Auburn. That being said, Blackson fits Dick LeBeau’s scheme perfectly and will be a key asset on this team.

5. Deiontrez Mount, OLB, Louisville

Mount was one of my personal favorites for the Titans. Humble, athletic and willing to be molded into whatever player Tennessee needs him to be, he could become a great player over the next few seasons.

4. Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma

Whether he’s dragging women out of their apartments and throwing them down stairs, or cleaning up his life and going for a game-winning touchdown will determine whether the Titans succeeded in their high-risk move for this athletic wide receiver.

3. David Cobb, RB, Minnesota

Cobb was a very talented, downhill runner for the Golden Gophers. However, the move is a little head scratching when you realize that the Titans have a similar player on the practice squad in Antonio Andrews.

2. Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon

Obviously one of the top players in this draft, Mariota will start for the Titans in Week 1. The only question that remains is whether or not Tennessee can block for him.

1. Tre McBride, WR, William & Mary

Arguably the biggest steal of the 2015 NFL Draft, McBride was expected to be drafted far earlier. After his selection, he changed his twitter profile name to Pick 245. You know that his late selection will add to his motivation from here on out.
