I’m all for camaraderie, but I can also name at least 4,446 causes better served by donation and I could do so in under 19 hours. World hunger? Humane societies? The homeless? All nice places where disposable income could be disposed.

If you truly believe Tom Brady got a raw deal, then how does spending your hard-earned money help exonerate him? Forbes estimated the Patriots to be worth $2.6 billion in 2014 and running on $428 million of revenue. So just why are you throwing pennies into the fountain? If you’re angry I get it, I’ve wasted money in ways just as myopic.
But I also see the “other” bottom line: It’s your money, you may spend it as you wish.
I just wish you showed more discretion with your discretionary income.
