Former Green Bay Packers great and current Wrangler denim-god, Brett Favre, called into Fox News for a brief interview with Greta Van Susteren on Tuesday to offer a take on Tom Brady‘s current situation.

Leaping from anecdote to anecdote, Favre outlined Brady as a competitor and attributed Brady’s role in ‘DeflateGate’ to nothing more than gamesmanship. Favre then cited examples of “stealing signs” in baseball, the use of “stickum” in football and other tactics and techniques that were once legal competitive edges until they were outlawed.

Favre displayed copious respect for Brady, which means something coming from such a talented NFL predecessor. Regardless of your opinion of Favre or the ‘DeflateGate’ narrative, it is refreshing to finally get qualified analysis from somebody qualified to comment.
