It appears that the Santana Moss days in Washington are over.
According to ESPN’s John Keim, “he will not return.”
No surprises there. Although Moss has been a member of the Redskins for what feels like forever, his stats have been on the decline for quite some time. Just this past season, Moss could only rack up 116 receiving yards. The year before, he had 452. The year before that, Moss had 573. Once again, his numbers have been trending in the wrong way, which usually spells doom for a player.

Speaking of Washington’s draft, the Redskins didn’t land a player like Amari Cooper, but they did pick up WRs Jamison Crowder and Evan Spencer. The team also has studs like Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson, proving they are set, for the time being, at the wide receiver position.

Who knows what this will mean for the 35-year-old Moss? Maybe retirement?
Regardless, the Redskins are coming off a 4-12 season and Robert Griffin III, once again, has some question marks. The upcoming season should be interesting, and could be a make-or-break one for Griffin III.
