There are times you say things that are so knee-jerk in the intent of amusement that you blind yourself to the unintentionally offensive weight those remarks can carry. Colin Kaepernick of the San Francisco 49ers fell into this faux pas in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

According to the Sporting News, Kaepernick immediately took down the Instagram post and apologized… on Twitter.
