The national media seems to be buying into the Minnesota Vikings as a team on the rise right now, and there are pieces in place to justify that.

Even with the building positive vibes around the team, here are five Vikings who are heading into make-or-break seasons in 2015.

5. WR Jarius Wright

I've felt the Vikings should find a way to use Wright more for a couple years now, and this year he could earn a prominent role from the start. This is also the final year of his rookie contract, which makes 2015 the very definition of a make-or-break season for Wright.

After what looked like a breakout campaign in 2012 (53 receptions, nine touchdowns), Rudolph has missed 15 games over the last two seasons. This is the year Rudolph needs to stay healthy, and start to justify the contract extension he signed before last season.

3. RB Adrian Peterson

Peterson may stretch the criteria for this list, but he has a lot to prove after missing nearly an entire season. Not to mention he is now 30 years old, and the physical skills that have made him special may start to deteriorate.

2. LT Matt Kalil

Kalil's play has dropped off dramatically over the last two years, due in part to reported knee issues. Now apparently healthy after offseason surgery on both knees, he has to step up his game in a big way this year.

1. WR Cordarrelle Patterson

Patterson needs to show a strong work ethic this year, and combine that with his immense talent. If he's not up to the task, the Vikings will have to consider moving forward without him.
