The NFL offseason was quite the festival of oddities -- from DeflateGate to Chip Kelly’s roster alchemy. But if you think that’s as crazy as it’ll get, then just wait until these 15 foretellings come true and explode your mind:

15 Predictions For The 2015 NFL Season That Aren’t As Crazy As You Might Think

The NFL offseason was quite the festival of oddities -- from DeflateGate to Chip Kelly’s roster alchemy. But if you think that’s as crazy as it’ll get, then just wait until these 15 foretellings come true and explode your mind:

15. Adrian Peterson Rushes For 2,300 Yards

This is just a hair under 145 yards per game and just a strand above insanity. If Peterson puts up three games of 200 yards, then that average deflates to just about 130 yards over the other 13. Peterson is disgruntled and now loathed by many (rightfully so), and look for him to wear the black hat to big numbers.

14. The Oakland Raiders Go 9-7

Derek Carr to Amari Cooper could be a highlight 20 times over in 2015. Even if the rookie and sophomore don't take the NFL by storm, they will send a warning.

13. Jimmy Garoppolo Goes Undefeated

Remember the last time the New England Patriots got dinged for cheating? Yep, that was 2007 during “SpyGate.” Following an NFL Week 2 ruling, the Patriots went 17-0. Garoppolo is no Tom Brady, but maybe he won’t have to be.

12. The New York Giants Win The NFC East

The Giants have been so quiet this offseason, signing tackles and guards as if New York was hoarding for an ark. Success can be built from within and I’m without a doubt the Giants will subtly ascend the NFC East.

11. Andrew Luck Passes For Over 5,000 Yards

Look for the neckbeard to ignite in 2015. Luck nearly pierced the 5,000-yard membrane in 2014, throwing for 4,761. An easier schedule this season would make meeting this milestone not so crazy at all.

10. Bryce Petty Starts A Game Before November

It’s not as much about Bryce Petty having the arm as it is Geno Smith is not capable of being an NFL quarterback. Petty will push Smith in camp and once Smith's motivation caves to the pressure, Petty will get his first shot.

9. The Green Bay Packers Go 15-1... Again

Nothing will be taken for granted in 2015, including home-field advantage. Hopefully this time when the Packers go 15-1 they'll survive the Divisional round.

8. Gus Bradley Gets Fired By Week 6

The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to have a soft schedule and would then seem to have no more excuses. Yet I predict after a slow start, Gus Bradley gets canned and the Jaguars go into another year of rebuilding while simultaneously regressing.

7. Johnny Manziel Gets Traded

In just one year, the Cleveland Browns have figured out they want nothing to do with Johnny Football. Don’t be alarmed if Manziel begins the NFL career arc of "Johnny Journeyman."

Chip Kelly will prove to all rational that he’s a mad genius capable of taking the Eagles to heights long anticipated but yet achieved. 2016 becomes a new target year as it becomes imperative the Eagles will be after a franchise quarterback.

5. The Detroit Lions Finish Last In The NFC North

The only thing more important than talent is culture. Every team in the NFL has talent, but few have a strong, winning culture. The Detroit Lions are not exempt. Instead of coping with the bad call in Dallas, the Lions dwelled and dwelled, playing their way out of the playoffs on the final series of that game.

4. The Denver Broncos Miss The Playoffs

The Broncos will start orange-hot but will cool much sooner in 2015 than in ’14. To ask Peyton Manning to play elite or even effective football for 16 games is asking too much from the 39-year-old QB. Next team up.

3. Colin Kaepernick Throws More Interceptions Than Touchdowns

The line is getting closer and Kaepernick’s confidence is getting slimmer. In 2013 -- Kaepernick’s banner year -- the 49ers QB threw 21 touchdowns against 8 interceptions. Last season it was 19 against 10. If 2015 is the disaster many fear it to be, we could see a reversal of the ratio.

2. LeSean McCoy Runs For Less Than 750 Yards

Although LeSean McCoy has exhibited decline, whether it was due to Chip Kelly’s offensive scheme or McCoy’s worn wheels, the Bills awarded the veteran back with a new contract. Without money truly on the line for McCoy, this could come back to bite Buffalo.

1. Russell Wilson Will Get Recognized As NFL MVP

Two big storm cells are colliding: Russell Wilson is entering a contract year and the Seattle Seahawks are loaded. Andrew Luck and Aaron Rodgers will put up huge numbers, but in 2015 Wilson’s impact will be justly rewarded.
