Lovie Smith and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers haven't been legitimate playoff contenders for quite a few years, but they are hoping things can start changing in 2015. If they want to reach those goals, every single player on the roster will have to step up, but there five members of the Buccaneers in particular are facing make-or-break seasons in 2015.

Defensive end William Gholston came through with a solid season last year with Tampa Bay, recording 42 tackles and 2.0 sacks. It wasn't even close to what the Buccaneers would like to see from him, and he'll need to take another step forward in 2015 to keep his role with the team.

4. Mike Glennon, Quarterback

Mike Glennon isn't a name that comes to mind when thinking about make-or-break seasons in 2015, but he has a lot to prove. Whether he can beat out Jameis Winston or not, he is still playing for his NFL future and proving that he is capable of being competitive with the No. 1 overall pick. He isn't likely to see much playing time in 2015, but he could keep his roster spot or potentially earn a trade to another team with a strong showing.

3. Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Tight End

This may come as another shocker, but Austin Seferian-Jenkins has to come through with a big year in 2015 as well. He caught 21 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns in nine games last year, but he needs to take a major step forward. At 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds, he is a very intimidating presence, but now he needs to show his full potential on the field or risk being replaced.

2. Tavarres King, Wide Receiver

Tavarres King is not a surprise on this list, and he will have to come through with an impressive season in 2015 to keep his roster spot with Tampa Bay. There is a decent chance that he won't end up making the regular season roster, but that is part of his make-or-break season. If he wants to earn a roster spot, he'll have to work hard in training camp and preseason action, as well as find a way to make a difference throughout the season.

Almost every single Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan would have running back Doug Martin as No. 1 on this list. He looked like a budding superstar in his rookie season, but since then has seen injuries derail his career and been practically useless to the team. There were rumors that Tampa Bay could look to trade him this past offseason, which makes his 2015 season even more of a make-or-break year if he wants to continue his career with the Buccaneers.
