The Carolina Panthers and the rest of the NFC South struggled mightily last season, but Cam Newton led his team to a division title. He also led them to a big win over the Arizona Cardinals in the playoffs before losing to the Seattle Seahawks. There are high hopes heading into 2015, but there are five questions that need to be answered in training camp for those hopes to become reality.

Kelvin Benjamin was selected with the No. 28 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, and ended up catching 73 passes for 1,008 yards and nine touchdowns in his rookie season. He was immediately the No. 1 receiver for Cam Newton, and the Panthers need him to take another step towards stardom. There is no question that his potential is through the roof, but he has to show more of it in 2015.

The Carolina Panthers needed help in their secondary last season, and they signed veteran cornerback Charles Tillman this past offseason in hopes that he could help. He still firmly believes that he can be a playmaker at 34 years old, but there are some concerns surrounding him. That being said, proving that he can make plays in training camp and preseason action would be very important for the Panthers.

3. Can the Panthers Muster Enough Pass Rush?

Losing the pass rushing ability that Greg Hardy brought to the table isn't going to be easy for the Panthers to replace. Charles Johnson is going to have to step up, and other players like Kony Ealy are also going to be asked to fill a much larger role than they are used to. If the Panthers want to win the NFC South again and be a playoff contender, they will need to have a dangerous pass rush in 2015.

2. Can Jonathan Stewart Be a Workhorse?

Jonathan Stewart and DeAngelo Williams have been a very dangerous team in the backfield throughout their careers, but Williams ended up leaving in free agency. That will leave Stewart as the running back who will have to be consistent each and every game and provide the bulk of the Panthers' rushing yardage. He has yet to have that type of a role, and will need to prove that he is capable of handling it.

Cam Newton was given a massive five-year, $103.8 million extension this past offseason, and the pressure is on his shoulders to live up to the hype that has been given to him. There is no question that he has the physical ability to become a superstar in 2015, but he will have to put everything together on the field. It will be very intriguing to see how he looks in training camp and preseason work.
