Training camp and the preseason haven’t even gotten underway yet, but that won’t stop Chicago Bears fans from making bold predictions for the team’s 2015 season. A lot of things have changed for the Bears throughout this offseason, and many expect a major turnaround in the Windy City. Although it may be way too early to set expectations, I still have my opinions about this year’s Bears. Here are five early predictions for Chicago's 2015 campaign.

5. Matt Forte Will Get His Fourth Consecutive 1,000-Yard Rushing Season

Head coach John Fox is known for his run-first approach on the offensive side of the ball. This should greatly benefit running back Matt Forte, even though there is a good chance of sharing the workload with another ball carrier. What should motivate the two-time Pro Bowler the most is the fact that he’s entering the final year of his contract.

Alshon Jeffery will be the Bears’ No. 1 wide receiver heading into the 2015 season, but rookie Kevin White might not be too far behind. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound White should be able to fill the void left by Brandon Marshall. Furthermore, the first-round draft pick could be a possible candidate for the 2015 Offensive Rookie of the Year.

To say that Chicago’s defense has been bad over the past two seasons is an understatement. The Bears finished 2013 and 2014 ranked 30th in total defense. This year, Chicago will showcase a new-look 3-4 alignment. Although there are still some questions of who will play where, Fox and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio should quickly turn things around.

2. 2015 Will Be Jay Cutler’s Final Season in the Windy City

The clock is ticking for Jay Cutler. Playing under his fifth offensive coordinator in seven years may prove to be too much for the inconsistent quarterback. Unless Cutler decreases his turnovers and makes the Pro Bowl, Bears fans should prepare themselves to see another quarterback under center in 2016.

The good news is that the Bears should improve on their 5-11 record from 2014. Unfortunately, the moves made during the offseason aren’t going to be enough to catapult Chicago into the playoffs. At best, the Bears could finish the year at 8-8. However, this could be the start of something big under a new regime.
