With training camp on the horizon, football fans can take solace in the fact that their sport won't be away for much longer. As the Pittsburgh Steelers go into training camp, expectations are high for a defense in flux and an offense touted as one of the best in the league. Here are five early predictions for the upcoming season.

5. Stephon Tuitt Will Have A Breakout Season

Stephon Tuitt looks the part. At 6-foot-5, Tuitt looks good coming off of the bus and actually looks better on the field. In limited play at the end of last season, he looked to be getting more comfortable in his role as a defensive end. This season will be the one in which he will make a name for himself in the NFL.

4. The Linebackers Will Be Improved

Pittsburgh's linebacking corps has the pedigree to be a solid position group with three first-round picks in Jarvis Jones, Bud Dupree and Ryan Shazier, a former star in James Harrison and a Pro-Bowler in Lawrence Timmons. The problem? Health. Shazier and Jones have struggled with injuries, and Harrison is 37 years old. Shazier should be healthy, ensuring solid ILBs. The OLBs are up to Dupree and Jones.

3. Cortez Allen Will Struggle In An Improved Secondary

Cortez Allen struggled last year when the Steelers chose to re-sign him over Keenan Lewis. With the departure of Ike Taylor and the drafting of Senquez Golson and Doran Grant, the secondary looks to be much different in 2015. Golson looks to be ready to step into a starting role which will improve things, but nothing Allen has done inspires confidence.

2. Martavis Bryant Will Make The Pro Bowl

Martavis Bryant didn't see the field until Week 7 last year, but he came on in a big way with eight touchdowns in 10 games. Now, he has added 15 pounds of muscle in the offseason and looks ready for a breakout campaign. The Steelers drafted Sammie Coates in the third round which should open up some more opportunities for Bryant to take the top off of the defense.

1. Mike Mitchell Will Have A Bounce-Back Season

Fans were frustrated with Mitchell's lack of success last season, though it was not all his fault. He played through some injuries sustained as early as training camp and oftentimes had to play both safety positions, as a worn down Troy Polamalu played near the line most of the year. Now, healthy and with something to prove, Mitchell will benefit from a new-found chip on his shoulder and Shamarko Thomas playing alongside him.
