The 2015 NFL season will be another “Super Bowl or bust” year for the Denver Broncos. Now, with training camp a mere five weeks away, here are five early predictions for Broncos in 2015.

5. Cody Latimer Will Have a Breakout Season

This offseason, the stars have aligned for Latimer. Wes Welker and Julius Thomas are out of Denver, and with the looming Demaryius Thomas holdout, Latimer has taken full advantage of the extra reps in camp with Peyton Manning. And with Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders enjoying the attention of each team’s top corners, Latimer should see plenty of targets from Manning. And that makes a breakout season the closest thing to a forgone conclusion.

4. Rushing Attack Will Dramatically Improve

With CJ Anderson having a breakout season last year and Ronnie Hillman emerging as an effective backfield option as well, the Broncos are primed to rule the ground. And if Montee Ball can put his injury-riddled 2014 behind him, then the Broncos will have one of the best three-pronged rushing attacks in the NFL. The combined skill sets of Hillman, Ball and Anderson make it hard not to envision a season marked by rushing domination.

3. Age Will Be Just A Number For Peyton Manning

Last year, it appeared that Manning showed serious signs of aging. Yet this offseason it appears Manning has put those concerns to rest. David Cutcliffe, the head football coach at Duke and Manning’s quarterbacks coach, has corroborated the claim and raved about his conditioning. To this point, Manning has been nearly automatic year-to-year, and with Manning looking fresher than ever this year, expect another sterling season for The Sheriff.

2. NFL’s Top Defense

Last year, the Broncos had the No. 3 defense in the league. This year, with a new defensive coordinator in Wade Phillips, Denver’s defense has all the tools and direction to be tops in the NFL. Phillips is a proven defensive mastermind with a knack for stymieing opposing offenses. And most of last year’s menacing cast of characters are returning as well. The old Orange Crush defense ran a 3-4. Don’t be surprised if history repeats itself.

After years of devastating playoff losses, the heartache for Broncos fans will come to an end in 2015. The run game, a spot where the Broncos have lacked in the past, is deeper than ever, Peyton Manning is healthy with a solid group of wideouts at his disposal and the defense is championship caliber. If those three things prove true this season, expect to see the Broncos, come February, representing the AFC in Santa Clara at Super Bowl 50.
