The New Orleans Saints are looking to rebound after a disappointing 2014 NFL season. Looking ahead to this year, they have quite a few obstacles facing them. Drew Brees is looking to lead his team back to the top of the NFC South and into playoff contention. Here are five early predictions that can be made about the Saints' fate in the 2015 season.

5. Mark Ingram Will Be a Star

Despite the fact that the New Orleans Saints brought C.J. Spiller in at running back, they are still going to depend on Mark Ingram to be a threat on the ground. He is going to come through with an impressive season and be a star on offense. Now that they have improved the offensive line, Ingram is going to reach his full potential.

In his rookie year, Brandin Cooks caught 53 passes for 550 yards and three touchdowns. New Orleans decided to trade away Jimmy Graham and Kenny Stills this past offseason, which leaves Cooks as the No. 1 target for Drew Brees. He is not only going to come through with a big season, but he will be a legitimate top target and will exceed expectations to help the Saints' offense stay relevant.

Perhaps the biggest disappointment for the Saints last season was the poor defense that they put on the field each and every game. They didn't look anything like the dominant defense that they had during their last Super Bowl win, and it was unacceptable how easy they made it for opposing offenses. New Orleans made a lot of defensive additions and will take a major step forward in 2015.

One of the biggest question marks surrounding the Saints this year is whether or not their passing offense will be the same without Jimmy Graham and Kenny Stills. Drew Brees is expected to take a step back by most, but that won't be the case. He is a good enough quarterback to work with the pieces that he has, and he will throw for at least 4,000 yards to shock the critics.

Winning the NFC South isn't going to be an easy task with both the Atlanta Falcons and Carolina Panthers having improved drastically this past offseason. Even the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made quite a few improvements and could be tough to beat. New Orleans will have to step up in every area and prove that they can win without the key players they lost, but they have the young talent to accomplish the task.
