It's been three straight seasons without a trip to the playoffs for the New York Giants. But the roster is far too talented to extend that streak any further. Of course, New York is in one of the tougher divisions in football, and after their ups and downs the last few years, there's no telling what could happen this year. Nevertheless, here are five early predictions for the Giants' 2015 season.

In past years, we've seen the Giants get hot late in the season just in time to make the playoffs. But in 2015, things are set up well for New York to start fast and potentially get a head start on winning the NFC East. The season opener at Dallas will be tough, but the G-Men play three of their next four at home, all against teams that the Giants are more than capable of beating, which should lead to at least a 4-1 start for the Giants.

4. Safety Trouble

The Giants hope their issues at safety will be solved after trading up to draft Landon Collins, but that won't be the case. Alabama players, particularly defensive players, seem to struggle during their early years in the NFL, and expect Collins to suffer the same fate. It's not as if the Giants have a proven veteran safety to pair with Collins in the secondary, which will make it that much harder on the rookie to have a good year.

The Giants will once again have one of the top pass rushes in football. Jason Pierre-Paul will obviously lead the way, but New York has good depth at defensive end. Damontre Moore should move into his own and improve upon the 5.5 sacks he had last year, while Robert Ayers and George Selvie are solid rotational players. Rookie Owamagbe Odighizuwa may also make an immediate impact and collect a few sacks.

2. All-Pro Season for Eli Manning

Eli has taken plenty of heat the last couple of seasons, leaving many thinking his days of being the Giants' starting quarterback are over, but he's set up for a big season in 2015. With Victor Cruz coming back and Odell Beckham being one of the top wide receivers in the league, Manning will have an incredible arsenal of receivers at his disposal. If the o-line can keep him on his feet, Manning should have a huge season.

After a three-year drought, the Giants will finally get back to the playoffs this season. They have quite the manageable schedule with just four games against teams that made the postseason last year. Between that schedule, a veteran quarterback, a dynamic receiving corps, a quality pass rush and Tom Coughlin coaching, the G-Men should win at least 10 games and find their way back to the postseason.
