With training camp less than two weeks away for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the team is not strutting into camp like the big kid on campus. Suspension, retirement, contract negotiations, coaching changes, and depth chart adjustments all occurred to the football team in southwest Pennsylvania. And each will have some affect on the team this upcoming season.

At the running back position last season, the Steelers completely relied on Le'Veon Bell for any production. His absence in the playoff game against the Baltimore Ravens was evident throughout the entire loss. His three-game suspension forces second year back Dri Archer and veteran DeAngelo Williams to carry the load for an offense that still needs a solid ground attack to open the pass. The question now is their productivity for the team.

Though his contract does not run out until after the 2017 season, wide receiver Antonio Brown generated some buzz in the spring with possible holdout talks. The six years, $43 million contract that he signed in 2012 today is ranked outside the top 10 for receivers. As one of the best pass catcher in the league, Pittsburgh needs to nip this in the bud before a possible holdout situation becomes reality.

Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu's retirements ended an era in Steelers defense. Their departures left two holes in the already struggle secondary of Steelers. Veterans Will Allen and William Gay are now expected to replace the pair. Rookie Senquez Golson and the struggling Cortez Allen will be competing for a starting corner position, while Mike Mitchell is recovering from offseason surgery on his groin that inhibited his play last season.

Last season, long time stable Lawrence Timmons was selected to his first pro-bowl. Timmons' ability is the only guarantee for the team's linebackers. Past first round selections, Jarvis Jones and Ryan Shazier spent much of 2014 nursing injuries. The lack of depth at the position led to Pittsburgh convincing retired James Harrison to return to the team. It is up to Shazier, Jones, and rookie Bud Dupree to perform well for the team's success.

The best way to describe the Steelers' schedule is a walk on a beach of broken glass. They play ten playoff teams throughout the season. Their December has them playing the Indianapolis Colts, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, and Baltimore Ravens. Their last game of November is the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle.
