As the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for training camp, there are a few questions that surround this team. The Chiefs have the talent to compete in the AFC West and could be the biggest threat to the Broncos to win the division. Here are the five questions they must answer in training camp if they want to contend for the AFC West crown.

By all accounts, Eric Berry is doing well in his battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and recently completed his cancer treatments. Outside of being cancer free, Chiefs fans are probably wondering if they will see Berry on the field in 2015. He will probably want to hit the field as soon as possible as well, but don’t expect to see him at training camp or on the field for the Chiefs in the coming season.

Since being drafted No. 1 overall in 2013, Eric Fisher hasn’t really lived up to being a top draft pick. The Chiefs will be counting on him to make strides this year, improve and be a dominating left tackle in the NFL. That’s why the Chiefs drafted him No. 1 overall to begin with. Fisher hasn’t lived up to that billing yet, and he has to improve in training camp this season to prove he is one of the top left tackles in the game.

Last season, Alex Smith didn’t throw a single touchdown to a wide receiver. The Chiefs can’t get away with doing that again this season. To help fix that issue, they signed Jeremy Maclin this offseason to help improve the passing game. But after Maclin, the depth isn't that great. This training camp will be crucial for the Chiefs to find receiving help.

2. Will Marcus Peters Become a Starter?

Marcus Peters could have easily been the first corner selected in this year’s draft, but off-field issues surrounded Peters and he fell to the Chiefs. Peters has all the talent in the world to be a good corner in the NFL. Sean Smith will hold down one of the starting spots, but it’s not out of the question for Peters to win the other spot. The Chiefs need improved play from the corner position and Peters could provide that.

Jamaal Charles will turn 29 years old in December of this year, but does he still have enough left in the tank? The Chiefs have ridden Charles a lot these past couple of years, so it will be interesting to see if he has enough left in the tank to be a dominating player. Charles is by far the Chiefs' best offensive player and one of the key players for the team to have success this season. How much of a load he can handle will be crucial.
