T.Y. Hilton

The Indianapolis Colts are expected to be the best team in the AFC if they live up to their full potential, and a lot of that has to do with the dynamic offense that they have put together. T.Y. Hilton is one of the biggest pieces of their offense, and he has developed an impressive chemistry with Andrew Luck. Looking ahead to the 2015 season, there is even more excitement about Hilton than there has been over the past couple of years.

Hilton is entering training camp as the No. 1 receiver on the depth chart, but will have competition with Andre Johnson this year. Both receivers are going to push one another and make each other better, and it is exactly what will help push the Colts toward their goals of winning a Super Bowl in 2015.

Last season with the Colts, Hilton ended up catching 82 passes for 1,345 yards and seven touchdowns. And at just 25 years old, there is no question that the Colts are going to see him take another step forward this season. He is entering his prime and has been improving each of the three seasons that he has been in the NFL to this point. Excitement is building surrounding him heading into the upcoming season, and it’s building for a good reason.

There aren’t many receivers in the game who are better than Hilton from an all-around skills standpoint. His ability to make plays down the field has been very obvious throughout his career, and he is also capable of making plays across the middle. Not only is he able to do both of those things, he is also capable of getting into the open field and making defenders miss.

Needless to say, training camp is going to be an exciting time for the Colts and their fans as they gear up for what could be the best season they’ve had since Peyton Manning left town.

If the Colts are going to make their hopes a reality, they are going to need Hilton to step up and come through with an even bigger season than he had last year. He is going to be freed up quite a bit by having Johnson on the roster, and learning from the veteran star will be very beneficial for him as well.

All of that being said, Johnson and Hilton aren’t the only two talented receivers on the roster. Donte Moncrief is heading into his second NFL season and has the potential to break out as a star as well. After him, the Colts also signed Duron Carter and drafted Phillip Dorsett in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Putting all of that talent together on a roster makes it very difficult for one or two of the receivers to see legitimate playing time, but it does give them quite a few options to change things up against defenses. Luck is a very lucky quarterback to have a franchise that is doing everything in their power to give him every possible skill set that they can at the wide receiver position. Hilton is still going to be the top target for the Colts, and he will come through with a monster season.
