Entering 2015 minicamp for the San Francisco 49ers, not a single person on the team could tell you who DeAndrew White was. White, who played college football for Alabama and went undrafted, will soon be a household name for analysts and fans alike.

There isn’t a person who has seen White play that hasn’t given him a five-star glowing review. Catch after catch during minicamp earned him the attention and respect of his teammates and coaching staff. Attitude and work ethic will earn him the attention and respect of the rest of the NFL.

White has one of the most positive attitudes and most incredible work ethics of any undrafted free agent to make a team this year. When deciding on signing with the 49ers, White calmly expressed his disinterest in playing the “money game” and instead decided to land where he felt at home with the staff and the players.

Of course, while everyone around him is ranting and raving, his status with the team is not guaranteed. White must continue to prove himself in training camp and preseason in the months ahead. July and August will be critical to his future, but they should be a breeze for the impressive standout.

Should White beat all odds, as he seems on track to do, and not only make the 53-man-roster but be granted starting status, he will lock himself in as another undrafted free agent success story for the 49ers. The team also boasts players like Tramaine Brock, Alex Boone and Ian Williams, all undrafted, and all impact players.

One thing is certain, White is fun to watch, and any other 49ers receivers currently on the depth chart and seeking the third available wide receiver slot should keep him in their sights. He just may work his way in for the coveted position.
