From it, the Cowboys came away with some promising players on offense, specifically at wide receiver. These five players have a chance to make the 53-man roster with strong performances at training camp. 5. RB Lache Seastrunk Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports 5. RB Lache Seastrunk Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports The Dallas Cowboys brought in former Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk in an effort to finalize the backfield headlined by Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden. Seastrunk doesn't appear likely to make the team as of right now, but a strong training camp could make the front office consider keeping him over a guy like Ryan Williams. 4. TE Geoff Swaim Getty Images Advertisement 4. TE Geoff Swaim Getty Images Dallas gave up a 2016 sixth-round pick to trade back into the seventh round of the 2015 draft to grab Texas tight end Geoff Swaim. Swaim was mainly a blocking tight end in college, but from reports out of OTAs and minicamp, he's shown ability as a pass catcher. Still, I don't see the Cowboys keeping four tight ends and a fullback, but if they forgo keeping Tyler Clutts, Swaim could take his spot. 3. WR George Farmer Getty Images 3. WR George Farmer Getty Images And now begins the run of possible undrafted free agent receivers making the team. George Farmer out of USC is the first on the list and could potentially have the best shot of any of these receivers to make the team simply based on the fact that he got the largest signing bonus of any undrafted free agent. He was a top recruit out of high school but never panned out at USC. He'll need to stand out as a fifth receiver and return man in Dallas. 2. Lucky Whitehead Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports 2. Lucky Whitehead Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports Lucky Whitehead out of FAU isn't as well known as Farmer simply because he came out of a small school. However, he has big potential as a return man to replace Dwayne Harris and has shown promise in OTAs. Dallas is in need of a return specialist, and Whitehead could be the man for the job. 1. WR Antwan Goodley Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports 1. WR Antwan Goodley Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports The final receiver of the undrafted trio is Antwan Goodley out of "Wide Receiver U," Baylor University. Goodley is undersized but has produced with big numbers in college. He caught 13 touchdowns and piled up 1,339 yards in 2013 before his numbers tailed off in his senior year. Along with the previous two receivers, Goodley is in position to compete for return duties and could win the job with his explosiveness.
