The New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints meet Saturday night in hopes of improving on their performances during the first week of the preseason. Both teams have plenty of questions and young talent on defense to go along with some turnover on offense. Here are five bold predictions for Saturday night’s game.

5. James White Catches Six Passes and TD

With Travaris Cadet and Dion Lewis nursing injuries, White took advantage of the added reps with four catches and 52 yards receiving against the Green Bay Packers in Week 1. With the Patriots having several injuries along the offensive line, expect quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to get rid of the ball quickly with White as a top option. Look for White to continue to impress with six catches and a touchdown against the Saints.

4. Stephone Anthony Makes 10 Tackles

Rookie Stephone Anthony has the inside track on earning the starting job at middle linebacker. The first-rounder out of Clemson didn’t disappoint in his preseason debut against the Baltimore Ravens, racking up six tackles while looking decisive and physical. Look for Anthony to thrive even more during Saturday’s game while making 10 tackles against the running and short-passing game of the Patriots.

3. Jonas Gray Approaches 100 Yards

Jonas Gray has produced for the Patriots whenever he’s been given the opportunity. Gray got the start against the Packers and rushed for 74 yards on just seven carries. Gray also showed improved speed in breaking a 55-yard run for a touchdown during the second quarter. With LeGarrette Blount still banged up, look for Gray to get plenty of work and power for close to 100 yards against the Saints on Saturday.

2. Drew Brees will throw TD On First Drive

With joint practices with the Patriots on Wednesday and Thursday, don't expect Drew Brees to play too much during Saturday night’s game. Brees will get plenty of work during the practice sessions against New England’s defense, but he will make the most of his opportunity and drive the Saints offense down the field for an early score on the game’s opening drive.

While Tom Brady should play a few series, Garoppolo will once again see the bulk of the action Saturday night. Garoppolo struggled a bit during last week’s game against the Packers. Much of that was due to playing behind a patchwork offensive line that gave him little time to throw. With the line getting some players back for Saturday’s game, expect Garoppolo to impress with a 200-yard performance.
