NFL fans have been waiting since the Super Bowl in February for the NFL regular season to return, and it finally has. This weekend was full of great finishes, blowouts and tremendous individual performances. The unfortunate part of Week 1 is that it creates more overreactions than any other week in the NFL season because fans are desperate to get excited about their teams. Here are the 10 biggest overreactions from Week 1.

Jameis Winston looked terrible, there's no denying that, but that doesn't mean he's going to be a bust in any way. Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans booed their team off the field at halftime as the team entered the break trailing the Tennessee Titans 35-7. Rookie quarterbacks are going to go through peaks and valleys, and it just so happened that Winston's valley was in his much-anticipated debut.

The Indianapolis Colts were thoroughly manhandled by the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Andrew Luck looked a far cry from his normal self, and the running game couldn't get going as Frank Gore got dinged up. The defense wasn't any better as the Bills' offense put up 342 total yards, including 147 on the ground. The Colts will still be a playoff team because the AFC South is so terrible.

The 49ers dominated the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night, especially on the defensive side of the football. While it was impressive to see the 49ers play well after losing so many important pieces this offseason, but last night's result was more due to the Vikings' gameplan, as it was the play of the 49ers' defense. Vikings offensive coordinator Norv Turner put the game in Teddy Bridgewater's hands, instead of Adrian Peterson's.

The Bills' victory over the Colts raised more than a few eyebrows, but let's hold off on judging Rex Ryan's team until after this week's game against the New England Patriots. If the Bills dominate Tom Brady and Bill Belichick like the team did the Colts, then we can start talking about a potential AFC East division title for the Bills, but not before.

6. Keenan Allen Will Lead NFL in Receiving

In a league that employs Calvin Johnson, Dez Bryant, Julio Jones and Antonio Brown, it was Keenan Allen who had the best receiving day during Week 1. The former California Golden Bear tallied 15 catches for 166 yards in a victory over the Detroit Lions. As great as Allen was, it was the ineptitude of the Lions' secondary that contributed to his big day, and not because he's improved that much.

5. Marcus Mariota is an Elite QB

Marcus Mariota had the most impressive Week 1 performance of any quarterback in the NFL. He tossed more touchdown passes (4), than incompletions (3), on his way to leading the Titans to a 42-14 victory over Winston and the Buccaneers. As impressive as Mariota was, he had receivers running wide open all day long against the porous Buccaneers defense. He will come back down to earth.

4. Dallas Cowboys are Doomed Without Dez Bryant

While the New York Giants deserve the blame for allowing the Cowboys to come back and steal Sunday's game, it was impressive to see Tony Romo take complete control of an offense that was already without DeMarco Murray, and lost Dez Bryant during the game. Even though Bryant could be out eight weeks or more, as long as Romo has full control of the offense, the Cowboys will be a dangerous team.

3. Carlos Hyde Will Lead NFL in Rushing

For my money, Hyde had the most impressive individual performance of any NFL player during Week 1. He carried the ball 26 times for 168 yards, and scored the 49ers' only two touchdowns. While I was blown away by his effort, it will be tough for Hyde to keep up this kind of pace with a non-existent passing game. Eventually, teams will stack the box with eight or nine guys, and force Colin Kaepernick to throw the ball.

Before training camps began, I predicted that the Rams would win the NFC West because of the additions on offense of Nick Foles and Todd Gurley. While I still believe that, it's certainly not a forgone conclusion that the win over the Seattle Seahawks puts the team any closer to the division title. With the 49ers looking solid, it will be a four-team battle to the end.

The Seahawks certainly aren't the same team that we've seen the past two seasons. The offensive line has major issues after trading Max Unger, and the defense severely misses Kam Chancellor, but there's too much talent on this roster to think that a Week 1 loss to a much-improved Rams team will cost the team a playoff spot. The Seahawks will get things figured out and at least grab a wild card spot in the NFC.
