Bold Predictions for Ravens vs. Raiders in NFL Week 2

The Baltimore Ravens will take on the Oakland Raiders this week, and I expect them to completely dominate in all phases of the game. This is a playoff team that is coming off a frustrating Week 1 loss in Denver. They will put on a show against a struggling Raiders team and even up their record with a win.

Joe Flacco had a rough outing against the Denver Broncos last week. Much of that blame falls on the shoulders of the offensive line who failed to protect him and give him efficient time in the pocket. I expect that all to change this week and for the offensive line to get their act together. Flacco's arm will shine in Week 2.

The Ravens are coming off a tough Week 1 loss to the Broncos, and will be fired up to even up their record and get a win in their home opener. The defense will be on fire and force several turnovers against a struggling Raiders offense. I believe that magic number is three.

The status of Raiders quarterback Derek Carr is unknown at the moment after he suffered a hand injury in Week 1 against the Bengals. All signs however point to him starting this week. Whichever QB it may be, he will have a tough time moving the ball against this stubborn Ravens secondary, which will affect their rushing proficiency as well. I expect under 200 offensive yards from the Raiders in Week 2.

I think it's safe to say that Murray is one of the only real bright spots in the Raiders' offense. However, the Ravens' defense is out prove they can get the job done without their leader Terrell Suggs. They will hold Murray in check all game and keep him from scoring a touchdown.

Although they walked out of Denver with a loss, I strongly believe the Baltimore Ravens are a playoff team this year. We will see that team come through in Week 2 and completely dominate the Raiders, making a huge statement to other NFL teams: that they are a force to be reckoned with. Saying they will win by 2 touchdowns is actually giving the Raiders the benefit of the doubt. I'm sensing a blowout.
