In case you aren’t aware, former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens lives in an imaginary land where there is no reality, no aging and he’s the only resident.
Despite being 41 years old, Owens still believes he should be on an NFL roster even though he hasn’t played in the league since 2010. In fact, he’s been out of the league so long that he’s eligible for the Hall of Fame this year. Instead of realizing that he’s never going to get another shot in the NFL, Owens apparently had his agent contact the Dallas Cowboys in an attempt to convince the team to bring him back.
“We all know what happened when I was there, and there were some things said where it may have fractured the relationship between myself and (tight end Jason) Witten and Romo. Time has passed, and hopefully they know that I’ve moved on beyond that, and maybe hopefully they have. But for me, it’s all about giving myself an opportunity. That’s all I ever wanted.”
Not only will the Cowboys not sign Owens because he’s 41, but also because he did nothing but cause drama when he played for Dallas. While Jerry Jones loves to give second chance, he’s not going to give a chance to a guy that single-handedly destroyed the camaraderie of his team once before.
