Just when we thought Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was a changed man, he goes and flushes our hopes down the toilet.

According to a report from Newsnet 5 in Cleveland, Manziel and his girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, were pulled over after a domestic dispute took place while the two were driving through Avon, OH. A witness stated that Manziel used the shoulder of the road to pass, and Crowley attempted to exit the vehicle while they were on the road.

The car stopped at one point, and the two continued their argument. The report also states that Manziel pushed Crowley’s head into the car’s window. When given the opportunity, though, she refused to press charges against the Browns gunslinger. Cops also spotted an abrasion on her arm, which was determined to be a mark from Manziel attempting to keep her in the car.

The other shocker? Manziel and Crowley had been drinking before the incident — a promising sign for a player who spent all offseason in rehab for alcoholism. However, after being pulled over, cops determined that there was not enough alcohol in his system to make an arrest.

It’s disturbing to see another NFL player getting physically violent with a women, especially after an offseason that was supposed to be transformative for him. Solely from a football standpoint, this is another black eye for Manziel’s already-muddled career that could bring up further questions about his future with the Browns.

It’s almost like Manziel is trying to force the Browns to cut his loose.
