New York Jets Asked NFL to Sweep Visitors Locker Room For Listening Devices in New England Last Weekend

By Jeff Shull

The New England Patriots have been getting a bad rep around the league for taking the line of rules and bending it to its absolute breaking point (some may call it cheating). The New York Jets were so paranoid about playing at New England this past weekend, they actually requested the NFL go into the visitor’s locker room prior to their arrival to make sure there were no listening devices.

It’s hard to blame the Jets, especially considering they were so involved in Spygate years ago.

People have been up in arms about the Patriots winning this past Super Bowl because they got caught with deflated footballs. I’m not one of these mouthbreathers that believes the Patriots truly won an AFC Championship game 45-7 because they let the air out of a few balls, but the Patriots organization has clearly been shady over the history of Bill Belichick‘s tenure and I’d probably do the exact same thing as the Jets in this situation.

Time will only tell if all the fines and losing draft picks will ever deter the Pats from toeing the line, but so far it doesn’t really seem like it.
