Following the injury to Rob Gronkowski on Sunday night in a 30-24 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos, the New England Patriots were officially missing seven prominent players due to injury. The missing players clearly have a big impact on the team, seeing as they brought about the first loss of the season; however, with the coaching staff and depth that the Patriots have, they will still be able to make a Super Bowl run this year.

The list of important injured players now contains wide receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola, running back Dion Lewis, right guard Nate Solder, linebackers Jamie Collins and Dont’a Hightower, and of course, the tight end Gronkowski. Yeah. That’s a lot. The Patriots are known for their next-man-up mentality, but soon, they’re going to run out of men.

But don’t freak out yet, Patriots fans. Here’s the good news. Amendola’s injury was only a week long absence, Collins will be back on the field next week and Gronk seems to only be missing one game, if that. So there seems to be relief starting Week 13. Not to mention, Edelman is set to return in time to help the Pats make a playoff run.

And don’t forget, Bill Belichick isn’t injured. And even if he does tear his ACL, he’ll still be the coach. That’s always a plus for the Pats. With the right coaching, any injury-riddled team can still win games.

Overall, the Patriots’ season will be fine. They won’t go undefeated, that’s out of the picture, but that’s okay. The main goal for every team is winning the Super Bowl. And from the looks of things, they’ll have the whole team back together in the playoffs.
