It looks as if 2015 will be another lost season for the New York Giants, but not all was for nothing. In the end, several players emerged as potential key contributors for the future. These guys can be used to help build a future for the franchise. Last year saw Odell Beckham Jr. emerge as a start to build around, and this year these five guys put their names on the mind of the Giants' front office.

Thomas signed a three-year deal with the Giants this past offseason, and he has seemed well worth it. He has collected 41 total tackles, 25 of which have been solo. He has been one of the better linebackers in a weak Giants linebacker corps. Thomas could certainly be counted on as safe and solid option at linebacker next season and beyond.

The Giants haven't had a steady tight end since the Jeremy Shockey era. Tye could potentially have a long-term future with the team at the position. He has good size and athleticism, and it seems as if he and Eli Manning are on the same page. The Stony Brook alum and Connecticut native has 34 catches for 369 yards and two scores. Keep in mind that's in just six starts, because Larry Donnell started until his season-ending injury.

Harris has proven to be well worth the questionable long-term deal he signed with the Giants this offseason. He has kickoff and punt returns for scores this season and has emerged as the first Giants return threat in ages. He has also shown way more ability as a wideout than expected with his 35 catches for 390 yards and four scores. He could be counted on as an option in 2016.

Flowers has shown in his rookie season that he has the toughness to succeed in the NFL. He has battled countless injuries but continues to tough it out and battle out there. He needs to clean up his technique and become more consistent, but it seems fairly clear that the Giants have the left tackle of the future in this first-rounder.

Just like tight end, the Giants haven't had a stable center for a few years, but that all seems to be changing now. The second-year player has found a home snapping the ball to Manning. Joining Flowers and Justin Pugh, the Giants have suddenly built a nice little nucleus on the offensive front for the future.
