The New York Jets have been surprisingly good this season, but could still benefit from upgrading a few different positions. With some big names becoming available via a trade this offseason, New York could make some noise with a trade.

Whether it be through the 2016 NFL draft, free agency or a trade, the Jets are in dire need of an upgrade at tight end. If the Chargers go into rebuild mode like many across the league are expecting, Antonio Gates would be available, and would be a great pickup for New York’s passing attack.

Fullbacks are not used by many teams in the NFL, but Darrel Young has remained as one of the league’s best with the Washington Redskins. He has helped guys like Alfred Morris turn into stars, and would be a major target if the Jets are able to trade for No. 1 on this list.

Jimmy Graham was injured and declared out for the season in the Seattle Seahawks’ Week 12 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, after having a rough season subsequent to being traded from the New Orleans Saints. If Seattle were to accept defeat on the trade, New York could be in play as they look to find an upgrade at tight end.

2. Philip Rivers

Even though he is under contract until 2020, Philip Rivers could be leaving the only NFL team he has known throughout his 12-year career. They are looking to rebuild, but Rivers could still be an impact player for a contender over the next 3-5 years.

Robert Griffin III is a young quarterback who is still way ahead of his prime, and is going to be sold to the highest bidder this offseason, even if that price is very low. Washington has chosen their quarterback in Kirk Cousins, while the Jets are still looking for a long-term option to use after the Ryan Fitzpatrick era.

Brandon Marshall Tells Rich Eisen He Hasn't Spoken To Jay Cutler

During a recent appearance on ' The Rich Eisen Show', former Chicago Bears and current New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall was asked about his relationship with his old quarterback, Jay Cutler. Marshall, who has zero chill, replied that he had not spoken to Cutler in "two years." Naturally, Eisen was shocked and mentioned that they were teammates just a season ago. Marshall essentially confirmed that they were not talking off the field during his last year in Chicago, but ultimately wished Cutler well.
