5 Way-Too-Early Predictions For New York Giants' 2016 NFL Draft First-Round Pick

The New York Giants are locked in with the No. 10 overall pick in the upcoming draft. Jerry Reese must hit on this selection to fix the lack of talent on the roster, so picking one of these five guys would be smart.

5. Vernon Hargreaves III

The Florida Gators corner has been a starter since the day he stepped on campus, and that will be the case in the NFL as well. He is a safe, sure thing. He could help a weak Giants secondary, especially if Prince Amukamara leaves in free agency.

4. DeForest Buckner

Some sites have Buckner as high as the second rated defensive end behind the clear No. 1 Joey Bosa. The Oregon D-end is a very imposing 6-foot-7, 290 pounds. He could certainly help the Giants' pass rush issues, even if JPP leaves in free agency.

3. Myles Jack

Jack is an incredibly athletic outside linebacker, which is something the Giants really need. He can help cover the tight ends, which was something they couldn't do all season. They need athleticism at the position, and Jack would help big time. He even played RB at UCLA too. If his knee injury checks out, he has to be a strong consideration.

2. Emmanuel Ogbah

Ogbah is ranked lower than Buckner but is a bit more sleek which gives him a boost. He could be a bit more versatile with his 6-foot-3, 275-pound frame. Pass rush is an obvious need for the Giants, and either Buckner or Ogbah would be great options (presuming Bosa doesn't shockingly fall.)

1. Jalen Ramsey

By now you could see pass rush and secondary help are what the Giants need. Ramsey is a hybrid DB who could play safety or corner, offering versatility the Giants need. Landon Collins can cover the run but he cannot cover the pass at all. They need coverage help, and Ramsey is a stud. If he's there at No. 10 he's the guy. Perhaps they could even trade up to No. 7 or so to be sure they can get him.
