NFL Wild Card Round Picks, Score Predictions

It’s Wild Card weekend for the 2016 NFL playoffs, with the AFC games on Saturday and the NFC contests on Sunday.

Here are my score predictions for Wild Card weekend.

Kansas City Chiefs (5) at Houston Texans (4) - 1/9/16 - 4:35 p.m. ET

Kansas City Chiefs (5) at Houston Texans (4) - 1/9/16 - 4:35 p.m. ET John Rieger-USA TODAY Sports
The Chiefs won their final 10 regular season games, while the Texans won three in a row to win the AFC South. Something has to give on Saturday afternoon, and I'll go with the better quarterback. Score Prediction: Chiefs 20, Texans 17

Pittsburgh Steelers (6) at Cincinnati Bengals (3) - 1/9/16 - 8:15 p.m. ET

A first-round bye would have helped the Bengals, with Andy Dalton (thumb) looking fairly certain to miss Saturday night's game. The Steelers will have a clear advantage under center if A.J. McCarron starts for Cincinnati, in terms of talent and playoff experience, and a typically vulnerable pass defense may not be tested much. Score Prediction: Steelers 27, Bengals 20

Seattle Seahawks (6) at Minnesota Vikings (3) - 1/10/16 - 1:05 p.m. ET

The Vikings are on a high after beating the Green Bay Packers in Week 17 and winning a division title. A reality check will now come, with the two-time defending NFC champion Seahawks coming to town, though the weather could be an equalizer with below-zero wind chill being forecast in Minneapolis on Sunday. Score Prediction: Seahawks 24, Vikings 13

The Packers are heading into the playoffs on a two-game losing streak, with serious concerns offensively, while the Redskins won their last four regular season games to seize the NFC East. Score Prediction: Redskins 23, Packers 17
