Ranking the Remaining Potential Super Bowl Rematches

There are quite a few potential Super Bowl rematches remaining after the wild card round. Here are all the possibilities ranked in order of least to most intriguing.

9. Kansas City Chiefs vs. Green Bay Packers (Super Bowl I)

Kansas City and Green Bay met in Super Bowl I back in 1967, in which the Packers won 35-10. With the Chiefs being a defensive team and the Packers' inability to gain many yards, this rematch would be incredibly boring in all likelihood.

8. Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Arizona Cardinals (Super Bowl XLIII)

It's impossible to forget Pittsburgh's drive late in the fourth quarter to defeat Arizona in Super Bowl XLIII back in 2009. This would actually be an amazing rematch to see if the Steelers were fully healthy, but even if they miraculously made it to Super Bowl 50 to take on the Cardinals, it's unlikely that they would have enough left in the tank to put up a fight.

7. Green Bay Packers vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (Super Bowl XLV)

The Packers defeated the Steelers 31-25 in Super Bowl XLV back in 2011 in what was an exciting game. At full strength (meaning Pittsburgh had a healthy Le'Veon Bell), these two teams would like provide another thriller, but it wouldn't be the case if a rematch came to fruition in Super Bowl 50.

6. Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Seattle Seahawks (Super Bowl XL)

We all remember how the officiating crew of Super Bowl XL seemed to favor Pittsburgh over Seattle back in 2006. The Seahawks deserve to have a chance to pulverize the shorthanded Steelers as revenge.

5. Denver Broncos vs. Green Bay Packers (Super Bowl XXXII)

Back in 1998, Denver defeated Green Bay 31-24 in Super Bowl XXXII led by a monster performance from RB Terrell Davis (157 yards, three TDs). It would undoubtedly be rather enthralling to see Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning duke it out, as one of the two would finish with their second Super Bowl victory.

4. New England Patriots vs. Seattle Seahawks (Super Bowl XLIX)

If the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks hadn't squared off in the Super Bowl just a year ago, I'd like this rematch much more. It would absolutely be a great game, but we just witnessed it 12 months ago.

If Peyton Manning was still playing at an elite level, a Denver Broncos vs. Seattle Seahawks rematch would carry as much luster as any other possible matchup. While it would still likely be a great game, it's just not as appealing as the original was in 2014.

2. Green Bay Packers vs. New England Patriots (Super Bowl XXXI)

Brett Favre took down the Drew Bledsoe-led New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXI back in 1997 by a score of 35-21. A match between Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers would be nothing short of a delight, as both quarterbacks would need to carry their overrated roster to a victory, but only one could.

1. New England Patriots vs. Carolina Panthers (Super Bowl XXXVIII)

New England Patriots vs. Carolina Panthers is clearly the best possible rematch we could be blessed with. The Patriots won 32-29 back in 2004.

Cardinals' Palmer Hits Fitzgerald For Huge Gain

Following a shocking hail Mary touchdown at the end of regulation by the Green Bay Packers, the Arizona Cardinals immediately went down the field in overtime with this huge completion from Carson Palmer to Larry Fitzgerald. This game has been unbelievable.

Watch Fitzgerald Send Cardinals To NFC Title Game

I pronounce this the greatest game I've ever witnessed. There aren't enough words to describe the ebbs and flows that occurred during the fourth quarter of this NFC Divisional Playoff. Both teams should be proud of the way they played, but the Cardinals will be the ones moving on after this Larry Fitzgerald touchdown.

Watch Packers Complete Hail Mary As Time Expires

You have got to be kidding me! The Green Bay Packers sent the game to overtime with this insane Hail Mary completion. What are Patrick Peterson and Justin Bethel doing so deep in the end zone. This game has been absolutely insane.

Everything had been going against the Arizona Cardinals all night long until this crazy deflection ended up in Michael Floyd's hands. With the touchdown, the Cardinals went ahead 17-13 with 3:44 left in the fourth quarter.

Watch Cardinals' Palmer Throw Ugly Interception

For someone who played like a MVP all season long, Carson Palmer has looked anything but tonight against the Green Bay Packers. If he doesn't redeem himself in the fourth quarter, the No. 2 seed Arizona Cardinals will be sitting at home watching the playoffs with the rest of us next week.

Packers' Lacy Needs Oxygen After This Run

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy doesn't look like he's missed any meals recently, if you catch my drift. Despite the extra weight he's carrying around these days, Lacy was able to bust out into the open field for this huge 61-yard run.

Watch Cardinals' Floyd Bring In TD Pass

The Arizona Cardinals' offense looked sharp on this scoring drive that was concluded by Michael Floyd's amazing footwork. The Cardinals possess so many weapons on offense that it will be an uphill climb all night long for the Green Bay Packers to find a way to come out on top.

Cobb Makes Amazing Catch That Doesn't Count

This catch is right up there with Odell Beckham's catch last season. Randall Cobb goes up with one hand as he's falling down and brings the catch to his body without putting a second hand on it. Unfortunately, it got called back because of an illegal shift penalty against the Packers.
