5. Michael Bennett

While Bennett has been a destructive force on the Seattle defensive line for multiple years, he took a huge step forward this season. He set new career highs in sacks and tackles, and was a continuous pain for opposing offensive lineman. He looked like the best defensive player on the field at times even with the star-studded defense that Seattle runs out there. He earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl and it was well deserved.

Baldwin put together the best year of his career so far, eclipsing 1,000 yards for the first time. He also ended the regular season tied for most touchdown receptions in the league and showed just how much his relationship with Russell Wilson has grown. Baldwin has always argued against claims that he was a “pedestrian” receiver, and proved that he is a legitimate receiving threat this season.

Wright put together a terrific year for Seattle and may have been snubbed out of a Pro Bowl selection. He was a key contributor to Seattle’s first ranked rushing defense and league-leading scoring defense. Not to mention his abilities when he drops back into coverage. Wright also ended the year tied for second amongst linebackers in forced fumbles with four, and tied for second in fumbles recovered. He may be one of the guys lost between the big names of the Seattle defense, but he has been a key contributor and stepped his game up even more this season.
