Tim Barnes was an okay starter last season, but he can stand to be upgraded. The Rams should look into adding a center in the middle rounds as Ryan Kelly and Jack Allen will be available for the team on Day 2 of the draft.

Both Janoris Jenkins and Trumaine Johnson are free agents for the Rams. They should retain at least one of them. If they cannot keep both, the team should take a cornerback in the middle rounds of the draft just to ensure that they have ample depth.

The Rams have two free agents at defensive end in William Hayes and Eugene Sims. Both are quality backups and if one is not retained, then the team will need to add a depth player who can eventually take over for Chris Long.

Part of the issue with the Rams’ offense last season was that they did not have any receiving threats outside of Tavon Austin. The team should look into adding a new weapon for their quarterback, and Kenny Lawler may be a Day 2 option for them.

Simply put, Nick Foles and Case Keenum are not NFL level starters. The Rams need to find an upgrade at quarterback in this draft. The team should look into trading up to select California star Jared Goff in the first round.
