By Jacob Camenker

The New Orleans Saints were once again unable to make the playoffs last year due to their relatively weak roster. With that in mind, here is a look at some of their biggest needs heading into the scouting combine.

Apart from Brandin Cooks, the Saints do not have much. Willie Snead looked like a capable third receiver, but they really need a possession receiver to draw coverage away from Cooks so he can be free to make big plays.

Jahri Evans was released this offseason. He was a solid starter, so the Saints are going to have to bring in a capable replacement. Otherwise, Brees will be under an immense amount of pressure during the regular season.

Kevin Williams played well last year, but he is a 35-year-old free agent. The team should look for a long-term replacement in the draft, and A’Shawn Robinson out of Alabama may be intriguing if he makes it to their pick.

Delvin Breaux and Keenan Lewis were good enough last year, but Brandon Browner was simply not. The Saints really need another capable player back there as they had one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL last season.

Aside from Cameron Jordan, nobody on the Saints can really get after the passer. The team should look into adding some help at the end position, whether it is as a situational rusher or an all-around type prospect.
