2016 NFL Draft: Los Angeles Rams Pre-Combine Seven-Round Mock

By Jason Fletcher

The Los Angeles Rams are coming off of a disappointing 7-9 season that culminated in the team moving from St. Louis to Los Angeles. With the franchise in a new city, they will no doubt be looking to have a successful season in 2016, but in order to do that, the Rams must make a splash in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Here’s a recent full seven-round mock draft I did for the Rams using FanSpeak’s mock draft simulator.

Round 1, No. 15 Overall: QB Carson Wentz, North Dakota State

There are currently three quarterbacks who project to be first-round picks -- Wentz, Jared Goff and Paxton Lynch. The Rams need to make sure they get one of the three at this position so that they finally find stability.

Both of the Rams' starting cornerbacks, Trumaine Johnson and Janoris Jenkins, are free agents this offseason. Grabbing Miller early in the second round was a no-brainer as he can start right away.

The Rams finally started to figure out how to use Tavon Austin last season, but there's not another receiver on the roster who strikes fear into opposing defenses. Miller would be able to do that right away with his blazing speed.

Round 3, No. 76 Overall: OLB Scooby Wright, Arizona

I don't understand why so many draft experts have Wright as a mid-round pick. He's got tremendous athleticism that allows him to cover sideline-to-sideline and he rarely misses a tackle.

The Rams' starting center Tim Barnes is a free agent this offseason, and Boehm is the type of prospect who could earn the starting job over the summer.

Round 6, No. 193 Overall: ILB Blake Martinez, Stanford

There's a lot of disagreement among draft experts as to where Martinez should go, but grabbing him in the sixth round is great value either way for the Rams. He could find himself as the replacement for James Laurinaitis.
