Le'Veon Bell Sends Steeler Nation Into Panic By Announcing Retirement On April Fools' Day

By Timothy Downs

The Internet tends to be an incredibly unfunny place on April Fools’ Day, as social media aficionados desperately attempt to pull a fast one on unsuspecting friends and followers. However, every once in a while, someone comes through with a clever, somewhat believable gag and actually gets people to fall for it.

This was the case for injured Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell earlier today, as he managed to send Steelers Nation into a panic by using the good ole’ ‘I’m retiring’ joke.

You wouldn’t think it would be the case, but an alarming amount of fans fell for Bell’s tweet.

Bell made sure to help curb everyone’s worries by letting the masses know it was simply a prank. Apparently, even his agent was fooled.

Remember to take everything with a grain of salt today, folks!
