Stedman Bailey Is Running Routes Less Than Five Months After Being Shot In The Head

By Brad Berreman

Late last November in South Florida, while serving a four-game suspension, Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey was a passenger in his cousin’s car when he was shot in the head. He landed in intensive care as a result, but in February Bailey said he wanted to return to the NFL.

Now, there’s evidence of some substantial progress toward that goal.

Gods child! Yup that’s me!!!! Good work gents @tayawesome11 and @iamsb_12 #larams

That’s Bailey running routes less than five months after being shot, and quite frankly looking pretty smooth while doing so. Barring any physical setbacks, he looks likely to be able to play next season. If the Rams don’t want to keep him, and they surely should want him in the fold with the lack of talent they have at wide receiver, another team could be ready to give Bailey an opportunity.
