The NFL released the 2016 season schedule on Thursday night, and rendered football fans and media alike incredibly excited for the upcoming campaign. With that in mind, here’s a look at the five biggest games for the New York Jets next season.
5. Week 4 vs. Seattle Seahawks
Getty ImagesAfter three straight AFC games to start the season (Cincinnati, Buffalo, Kansas City), the Jets host the Seahawks in Week 4. The Seahawks historically stink when traveling to the East Coast, but will still give Todd Bowles' bunch plenty of trouble.
4. Week 6 at Miami Dolphins
Getty ImagesThe Dolphins have made a number of solid additions thus far this offseason, and are anticipating being in the mix for a wild card berth at minimum in the new campaign. In order to cement a playoff berth, the Jets will need a few big road wins, and taking down their AFC East rivals is paramount.
3. Week 12 vs. New England Patriots

It's extremely important that the Jets go 1-1 against New England, and they have the best chance of getting it done at home in this one.
2. Week 13 vs. Indianapolis Colts
Getty ImagesIf Andrew Luck stays healthy in 2016, it's fair to assume the Colts will be one of many AFC teams in the playoff mix by the time Week 13 rolls around. This will ultimately be a game the Jets can't afford to lose.
1. Week 17 vs. Buffalo Bills
Getty ImagesLast season, the Bills (much to the delight of Rex Ryan) kept the Jets out of the playoffs by defeating them in Week 17. Well, the NFL isn't stupid, and clearly recognized that game garnered tremendous buzz around the league. The two teams will close out the regular season against one another once again, this time in New Jersey. And there's a solid chance it will be for all the marbles.
