The Minnesota Vikings won the NFC North last season, and based on this year’s schedule the NFL took notice. The Vikings will play four primetime games at minimum, and that does not include a date with the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.

Here are the five biggest games on the Vikings’ 2016 slate.

Week 13: vs. Dallas Cowboys — A week after making an appearance on Thanksgiving Day, this Thursday night game looks likely to be important for both teams.

Week 11: vs. Arizona Cardinals — The Vikings gave Arizona a test late last season before falling short late in the game. This time around, they'll get the Cardinals at home.

Week 16: at Green Bay Packers — Games against the Packers are always important for the Vikings. This Week 16 clash could have a division title and playoff positioning on the line.

Week 3: at Carolina Panthers — As they look to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the conference, a road trip to take on the defending NFC champs will be an early test for the Vikings.

Week 2 vs. Green Bay Packers — The Vikings will welcome the rival Packers for the first regular season contest at US Bank Stadium, and on a Sunday night no less.
